NBA All-Star Weekend!!!

Greetings! First off, a happy Chinese new year to one and all!

But I'm celebrating NBA All-star weekend here, sorry. That's like the biggest holiday for me in the basketball calendar. Of course, with the exception of the NBA Finals. and maybe the Draft. Nah, All-star weekend's better than that.

Ok, I will apologize right now, because this post will be mainly on basketball. But pardon and tolerate me, because this will have a point in the end. Trust me. It's amazing.

I am one of the few believers that Dwight Howard was robbed of the Slam Dunk crown last night. True, I'm all for New York and Nate, but there's no way he was better than Dwight. We'll have to make another case for Gerald Green, but let's check out what Dwight did that really just made me go "wow" in all aspects.

he reached for the backboard. an elevation of 12 feet and 6 inches.
But that's not merely it. To prove that he reached that, he had a sticker on his hand and slapped the backboard with it as a marker. That's physical display at his finest. But that's not all. I took a closer look at the sticker and found this:

Now that's a hilarious looking face there. But look at what's written:

"All things through Christ - Phil. 4:13"

And that was shown live on not only national TV, but worldwide, over 100 countries, with people staying up at different time zones just to watch him fly up and declare his faith.

That's awesome.

And I'm watching Orlando vs. Knicks live on Tuesday. So I'll get to see him do it again. and again. mwahahaha

He might not have won the crown, but to me, he's the champ. in every sense of the word.

Well, tonight's the all-star game, another night at the couch.

In the meantime, I'm trying my best to keep up with my workout schedule, which isn't quite working out as well as I want it to, because sickness is setting in from time to time. But I'm all good now, and I just had a workout this morning. Badly out of shape. But I'll get there.

Oh, and I just splurged some cash on Fred Astaire CD's. No guilt whatsoever.

Ok, hope all of you are having a great time wherever you are and whatever you're doing. I just have about 10 to 11 weeks here, and I'll be on my way back! Somewhere there, at least.

Take care!

I'M OUT!!!
