since singapore
It just suddenly dawned upon me: I am rotting here in Manila.
How do I know that?
I spent the past two hours watching this noontime game show called Wowowee.
and that's just the theme song. Imagine how wild and useless and mindless this show is.
2 hours.
wow. that's like a personal all-time low.
On a sidenote, I've been itching to blog about my plane ride. Aside from all the thinking and meditation that I did in the plane, well, there's always lots of things to notice. For one, I was very displeased to find out that they were showing Wild Hogs as in-flight entertainment. Don't get me wrong, I was very excited that Wild Hogs was on, and John Travolta's expanding hips are always a welcome alternative to watching and smelling the aroma of this dude next to me gobbling down his vegetarian airplane meals. But guess what, Wild Hogs was dubbed in Japanese, and with Chinese subtitles. I tried the subtitles for 10 minutes, and just gave up totally. Then a guy across the aisle sneezed and coughed the entire flight, causing this overseas Filipino worker woman (that's what they're professionally called here at home) to keep on awkwardly staring and smiling at me, which was very discomforting, because she kept on turning her head at various intervals. So yeah, cold shoulders worked.
Anyways, Singapore is definitely very much missed, and the unsettling feeling of not knowing when I'd be able to return is killing me from time to time. But yeah, longing is just a phase, as a Christian we can never complain: we trust now, then argue later. But most of the time trust alone makes us realize that our petty arguments are just that: petty and insignificant. It's the trust that helps us move on with life.
So yeah, that pretty much sums up all that I'm feeling and thinking and.. yes.. emo-ing about now.
Then the sudden passing of Chris Benoit, and I realize that, no matter what he could have possibly done, humane or inhumane, I'm still fortunate to be roaming the world, albeit unsettled, at least I still can use my talents to bless people.
And I guess that's what's important.
And that's why I feel useless after watching that 2 hour noontime show.
And the guy just lost the jackpot round.
oh my.
I'M OUT!!... wait. one more thing I've wanted to say for about... 2 weeks now.
Basketball is a contact sport. If you can't stand that, go play darts or something.
Got that out of my system.
I'M OUT!!!
