roommates
I always thought there were only two kinds of roommates:
1.) the type that you will hate at first, but then eventually learn to somehow appreciate
Yeah, these are the nice types. My ultimate example here is Christian, how he became like my best buddy, while still remembering that he made me carry his boxes (enormous) from a floor down... on the first day i met him. irritating. But he's a jewel of a roommate.
There are others who go on being irritating, but they become more accomodating as time goes by. fabulous.
2.) the type that you will like at first, then your relationship deteriorates, but eventually you will become better pals. (aka. your friend)
I had this when i was in Sec3. Perhaps it's just because you will find out that there's so much behind a person that is not seen when you were still hanging out and stuff. But eventually you will learn to appreciate him for that.
well... that was until i got here. now, there's...
3.) the kind that you will NEVER like.
well...
- he snores (very loudly; let me digress. Well, you always thought there's only one type of snoring for everyone - inhale/exhale - right? well, he has modifications... the sledgehammer, the whistle (aka stuck up nose (gross.)), the drill, and my personal favorite, the choke, which signifies the end of a snoring session (for about a minute.))
- he talks to himself (i found out that he does that when he's asleep AND awake)
- he sings an octave up to ANYTHING and EVERYTHING (which is painful when you are trying to read the Iliad at 2 in the morning)
- he dances around like a ghost when he's stressed (I think he kind of assumes that he's some sort of a ballerina)
- wears shoes to sleep
- puts on cologne/perfume everytime he has the opportunity
- (gulp) talks with a rather whiny (upper range) tone.
- oh, and he wakes up to the tune of Sexyback every morning.
I will never ever learn to appreciate that.
Maybe it's because ACS(I) is an exclusive school (I hope you know what I meant.)
I think God is really testing me on this. It's really hard at times when you don't have a roommate to help you carry through stuff, like i had the past 4 years. I think he is teaching me 2 things:
a.) more independence
b.) not to attract the wrong kind of attention
which, to most of you who are my friends, know what i am talking about. I am so not talking to him, and yes, no physical contact at all. It's creepy now, when everything you do might be treated as an innuendo. So I just sit outside and read my Iliad. Nothing very arousing about that.
please. no rude tags about this.
anything else, can.
I'M OUT!!!
