what a day!

Had a long day today... started with final preps for Stern orientation program tomorrow. We're doing a boyband - girlband version of our faculty song. So as to avoid the possibility of me crossdressing (yes, most of them are), I volunteered to play the song they want to sing to. So yeah, i kind of got myself into a situation. cos they want to sing to the tune of 'I Want It That Way' by the good old backstreet boys... So i'm kind of doing an acoustic set... yeah. so that would be the first impression of my batchmates of me...

Which kind of reminds me 2 years ago... the spastic stuff that I also did in front of the entire batch in ACJC orientation. refrigerator man?!?! that's something. hahaha luckily, most people forgot that already. hahaha (or have you?)

Then, it just went from strange to crazy... i went to the US Open!!! FREE TICKETS courtesy of NYU!!! mwahahaha

That's me and Steven, who looks a bit stressed. I told him already to cut his hair. And the other guy? haha he's out of his mind.

Anyways, meet my new friends: Lleyton Hewitt and Maria Sharapova! woohoo!!!

Anyways, it was an amazing afternoon. two matches.both kind of one-sided. Perhaps because it was like the second round. haha amazing experience. I think I got a bit of a tan from that place too. hahaha

Then after that, went home, chilled a bit, and as my friends went to the MTV VMA afterparty, I went somewhere on my own. Watched stand-up comedian Christian Fennigan, an NYU alumni, most popular in his portrayal of "the white guy Chad" in the Mad Real World sketch in the Chappelle's Show. Amazing. Inspired me to write a sketch like that perhaps for ACJC. honestly. I think the peeps there will enjoy it. Of course, minus the profanity.

Yah. Then talked to Steven a bit and agreed that we both miss Singapore. A lot.

The past few days, really have been thinking a lot about stuff that has been bothering me. Many things -- perhaps when i get it figured out, then i'll have the guts to blog about it. But God has been so good. He's always there to see me through the day. When I feel so down because of something that somebody might have said or done to offend me, I just pray and ask for His grace. It's really amazing. I think i'm really just running on grace now. Without Him, I would have given up on this a couple of days ago, and would already be on a plane going back to Singapore. But I really believe that God sent me here for a purpose -- and because of that it's not what I want that matters anymore. It's His.

I'll tell more stories next time -- its 1:15AM and i have a BSB performance rehearsal at 9AM later. Take care all of you!

This is kind of random, but if there are any teachers here -- HAPPY TEACHERS' DAY!!!

I'M OUT!!!
