update
this is a forced update.
since geoff has updated his blog, which happens like once a month, there is a lingering illusion that bothers me, as if I haven't blogged for a month too. So here I am
i realized that since i have shown you guys my roommate's photo, there's nothing much to blog about anymore. NO FUN ANYMORE. there's no more sense of suspense, like you guys trying to piece together pieces of a jigsaw puzzle:
piece 1: he's gay
piece 2: he has a blocked up nose
piece 3: he sleeps with his mouth open
piece 4: he snores like a buffalo
piece 5: he's very very very unhygienic
piece 6: he's gay.
and other pieces that i chose not to present simply because this is a wholesome blog. (right geoff?)
perhaps it's because he's really been very sick, and without the powerful dosage of vit C, I would have succumbed as well.
I have been very tolerant of him. I have decided that being rude and backbiting him through my blog is not the best thing to do (doesn't mean i won't do it. this is merely an OUTLET, not a means of backstabbing. go figure that out.), and so I'm waiting for him to fully recover before I blast him using the only method I know - man to man confrontation. There i'll tell him how I hate his snoring and how untidy he is. But of course, i'll sugarcoat it, to cater to ermmm his feminine side.
I've been quite down too cos I didn't get as high as I wanted for my essay. Maybe i'll just redo the entire progression, maybe get a couple of perks or sumthing, but it definitely is a wake up call. i'm really gonna study like mad already.
I was just telling somebody the other day, you remember when you were in JC? when your tutors will tell u that JC is the toughest already? LIES. all LIES. well, perhaps conceptually, cos you end up taking up subjects that you didn't really want, but simply is part of the package. (like I had to take Physics as part of my double maths combination. I guess the J1s nowadays dont have problems with that huh? unless you hate math. if you do, call me, i'll make you fall in love with it.) ok ok I was carried away there. JC is tough. but uni workload is tougher. when last time you couldn't even be bothered to pick up your nail-thick notes, now they give you a book to read in about 2 weeks. My diet has recently been comprised of salads, proteins, orange juice, and papyrus. deeelicious.
and them cheekbones! aaahhh! major setback last week when it started to rain. i went out with my climacools to run, and all the puddle water ran into it. good excuse to not run. but now my determination is as high as it's been.
hmmm... what else... oh, it's halloween here, so I'll be helping out at a family fair at church. I'll try to take photos ok? I hope they don't make me dress up as some pumpkin man or sumthing...
Midterms for comparative Lit next Tuesday. tons of reading: Genesis, Job, Iliad, Aeneid, Metamorphoses. I have to be able to recognize lines in the poem and characters and symbolisms. Goodness. I'm stuck at home this weekend.
By the way, the tupperware and Mexican junk at the sink? not yet cleared. I know the last war between Filipinos and Spaniards occured like centuries ago. But from what I remember, some Filipino guy named Lapu-Lapu whipped Ferdinand Magellan's butt when the Spaniards crossed us (March 17, 1521 I know my Philippines history ok?). No different this time.
Oh, my latest complaint about my roommate?
There are heaps of rolled up tissue paper all over our apartment. REALLY. my fingers are not enough to count them. Some in cups that are left unwashed, some on his bed, some on his table. if he wasn't sick I would have really chopped his head off alr la. And I have been nice to him lately, as I said. I give him unlimited supply of Cepacol and bottles of water. Why, you may ask? so he can get well and I can finally yell at him. I can't wait.
there, my blog entry is complete.
I'M OUT!!!
