as we stumble along

Forget all those other musicals. The Drowsy Chaperone rocks. Firstly, it doesn't involve a lot of emotions. And all you have to do is laugh, laugh, and laugh. And best of all, I got free tickets.

Now, it's time for me to speak my mind yet again.

When we were (much) younger, we subconsciously make a mental "i-can-see-myself-doing-that" list. But seeing that I'm stuck in business school, sometimes we can't help but start crossing out things that aren't that realistic anymore.

But it still gives you much pleasure to ponder what life could be like if only you could be that something you wanted to be for a day.

To all those who knew me from JC, maybe you thought I'd love to make a career out of singing. Perhaps. To those who know me in the kitchen, perhaps a cook. Again, perhaps. To those back home, maybe a coach for basketball teams. Perhaps.

But to those who REALLY know me, you know that I have a knack for impersonations. But that should be the most unrealistic job type out there: Stand-up comedian. And you think, and you expand your material, and you imagine what could be the ideal platform for you, but you never seem to get it.

But what really makes you feel all giddy inside is when you find out that somebody has actually done it. You feel a sense of pride for that somebody who's done it. For me, it's Frank Caliendo of the new TV series Frank TV.

What a repertoire. And how about some song into it?

Perhaps in another life, I can picture myself doing all that. And now, the next target in my repertoire is George Bush. Tran Vu Quang's Vietnamese accent took me a whole 2 years, so I don't mind doing some more for ol' Georgie.

I'M OUT!!!
