this is embarassing, son.
Last night, the Knicks were on national television. That was a big deal 'cos they do that once in like, a decade. So of course that would be something a Knicks fan wouldn't miss for the world, huh?
Actually, the opposite.
I purposely found something to do that night, to avoid watching a painful Knick loss. Me and David went to watch Sweet Honey in the Rock, a fantastic FANTASTIC acapella group of 5 African-American women. FANTASIC.
And my move paid off.
Once I got home, I discovered that the Knicks suffered an earth-shattering loss on national television. Look, Boston 104, New York 59. Lost by 45 points. On national TV. WOW.
If Nate Robinson didn't hit that ridiculous 37-foot three pointer at the buzzer, it would even have been 104-56. A record for the Knicks, in futility and impotence.
SO. after lamenting the state of the Knicks last night, I woke up (15 minutes ago) with a new sense of hope and purpose. And that sense of purpose prompted me to get up from my behind and do something about it, as a loyal Knick fan. YES, I HAVE DECIDED THAT I WILL ATTEND TONIGHT'S HOME GAME AGAINST THE BUCKS. Mark my words, if the Knicks don't play well tonight, I will be the first one to get up on my feet and yell "FIRE ISIAH" and "FIRE DOLAN". By golly, my high school team would have fared a bit better than the Knicks last night!
And I promise, if the Knicks lose tonight, I will give away one of my Knicks jerseys. There's no value in them anymore anyways. Just come over and ask for it.
C'MON KNICKS! I STILL HAVE AN OUNCE OF FAITH LEFT IN YOU!!!
In the meantime, I got myself a STACK-full of All-star ballots to fill up.You know me, I'm not the kind who gives up easily. And by golly if I win a trip to New Orleans for the game, sign up and come with me! Last night I dropped the ballots at my local T-Mobile joint, and the security guard was looking at me as if I was going to do something ridiculous. hahaha
ok, that was a nonsense post. Go to the next one about turkeys if you didn't understand a thing. I apologize.
But still, the Knicks better win tonight.
I'M OUT!!!
