i wanna make the world smile...

I recently drew a lot of flak for something i said on MSN:

"I wanna make everybody smile so that they'll never cry again"

And it the deepest, truest sense, that is my main motivation for making people laugh, all the time. Why I make a fool of myself, why I impersonate: because I love seeing people smile, because I know, I made their day that bit better just by saying a few words.

Isn't that worthwhile? All we need is encouragement and laughter. I really believe that. One thing is, people think that comedy is mindless laughter. Look, if you take it in mindlessly, then it's not my fault. In fact, comedy is a very powerful way to communicate to people, because it deals with real issues in a non-confrontational manner.

Ignorance, Obnoxiousness, Fundamental shortcomings of the human being, even death.

And nobody explains it better than the Mac-Man.
