march madness!

Aloha everybody! the sun is starting to shine again and the temp is rising! Winter's gonna be over in about 3 weeks, and I can start flaunting my bod again with tight shirts and rugged shorts (to the dismay of the public)

First off, congratulations to those who received their A-level results yesterday (both j1 (chinese) and j2). I would just like to say that I was damn happy when I saw certain names on the list, ok? And to those who didn't do so well, there's always an avenue to move on. If you're comfortable, speak to me, I'll try my best to encourage you. But yes, don't let situations bring you down, you've gotta move on, or life will leave you behind.

So, back to the weather. Today it rained. I felt that rain was such an Asian experience. After months of snow and sleet, I've never actually felt more at home with drops of water touching my face. I know, I would seem a fool to you guys, but try living everyday surrounded by salads, wraps, and burgers, and you'll start craving for every dash of teriyaki sauce around.

So, since the rain made the weather warmer (contrary to rain cooling up the atmosphere over yonder), I decided to wear my tight Giordano dry-flex shirts. Guys, you know what these are. Now, Giordano does not exist here in America. It is, actually, what we call a very "CHINA" brand. Hope that doesn't de-valuate Giordano in your eyes. But it's still a shirt to me. And it makes me feel rather... buff. Anyways, so Itrudged on happily in the rain to class, took of my peacoat in the lecture hall for stat. Then, I felt a finger poking my triceps area (whoa... feeling it.)

Apparently, he wasn't feeling my bulging triceps (nor is it my under-the-arm storage of lard), but he was pointing to the "Giordano" logo on it. Darn. I know I'm buff, and that's enough. Rhymes. Anyways, The guy, obviously American-born Asian, says "I've seen that brand in Taiwan before". I don't know, maybe it was the weather, but I suddenly said: "Hey man, Giordano is like the most Asian thing. Shame on you if you don't know what Giordano is. I'm sure you have one of these too. Ask your mom. She would have bought one of these from the motherland at one point in your life".

bwahahaha

so that's that. I asserted my china-ness in front of my lecture group. Not to mention there were two Indians there happily being patriotic. Over dunno what.

So, back to dorm-life. I am really convinced by now that I have faced all possible roommate-related issues. That's why I'm petitioning for a single-room next year. Currently, my room smells like rotten crotch. Why? well, since the temp is rising, he has become fond of taking off ALL of his clothes before going to sleep. Don't worry, I have not defiled my eyes yet. But yes, I will at times wake up to an underwear or rotten sock draped over my bag or shoes, which are lying next to my bed. Grossness.

And he likes to sanctify our room with his Albert-icide. It's called cologne. It's pungent, like burnt plastic mixed with baby powder. Lots of it. Anyways, he sprays it on everything - his bod, his armpits, his clothes, his used clothes being stored and fermented for 2 weeks before washing, his bed, his closet, etc. EVERYTHING. well, I think his justification is that he only sprays his side of the room. These American kids, never heard of a thing called diffusion. can die. So every time he sprays, I run out and cough VERY LOUDLY like a house fly when stricken with BAYGON.

so yes, there's my colorful life nowadays.

the only things that make me happy now are:

1. chatting online with all of you
2. hanging out with my friends here, mostly from church, and
3. watching live NBA.

which starts soon. gotta go!

I'M OUT!!!
