some news

1.) i have decided to take up Ancient Israel against my own wishes, because I realized that as practical as Chinese traditions can be, I don't want to labor myslef reading English translations of Chinese literature regarding its rejection of Westernization. pain. and my golly, that's an 11-1 landslide vote against Chinese traditions! hahaha thanks for voting!

2.) I slept at 5 AM today. Again, to people who think that uni is a piece of fruitcake, take 12 hours of sleep from henceforth (you will have all the time after your exams) to redeem for time lost in the future. In other news, I learned today that sleeping is necessary because it clears out the clogged messages in your synapses in the brain (nerve cell to nerve cell connections). Dreaming, as such, is a process of assimilating all the information that your brain intakes throughout the day. So yes, sleep is good.

3.) I just wrote a 7-page essay/critiwue of Ralph Waldo Ellison, and when I got to class I realized that it's supposed to be only about 3 pages long. ARRRRGGGHHH!!! i'm going to be the butt of my prof's jokes again next week. But hey, it's the effort that counts. This morning, coincidentally, when I was asking God for strength in my lack of sleep, I came across this verse:

"Enter by the narrow gate... Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life"

Yeap, so to those in hardship, don't give up! you're in the right path!

More stories about my roommate, which I will stop to disclose already since steff has expressed disgust. and when steff is disgusted, trust me, it's gonna be REALLY GROSS already.

4.) the weather's mad. now it's up to 21 degrees. Suddenly, I'm sweating all over and feeling feverish. I miss 9 degree weather. Which means i'll die when I get to Singapore again. but yes, leaves are falling everywhere.

5.) to enoch (aka porky), haha at this rate, my arms are getting contours faster than my face. i want cheekbones, but shoulders are emerging first. but yes, when we go back singapore, we will wear tanktops everywhere and flaunt our assets! hahaha can't wait to go skiing with you! must teach me ok?

ok, going to catch up on sleep now. just finished reading Dante's Inferno, which was really amazing. Next up is Tasso's Jerusalem Delivered. I promise a more logical picture-laden post in the near future!
